My Mom Kept the Bun in the Fridge, While I Took a Nap is a Year-Long Program Student Anthology influenced from an assignment during the program called Discord and Rhyme.
Using silent panels from Ernie Bushmiller’s Nancy, we crafted graphic versions of childhood memories rife with wild images and metaphor, allowing us to see and communicate our experiences anew.

This comic anthology is just a snippet of the creative work we see from our students. These comics were compiled by pushing words and pictures even farther apart, to learn to create interesting interplay between the image and text. Then we pull it together in new visual ways.
